Mindfulness Wellbeing Program
Mindfulness means paying attention in the present moment, on-purpose, and non-judgmentally. It nurtures self-awareness, clarity, and acceptance of present-moment reality. Mindfulness is a way of relating to reality – whatever is happening in your life in this moment. This type of engagement can help you remain calm and in control during challenging times.
In this program participants are offered a space where they can develop their mindfulness skills. The program includes mindfulness meditation practice, mindfulness exercises in everyday life, gentle yoga exercises (adapted to participants’ conditions), opportunities to share in the community discussion aimed at enhancing awareness, individual instruction, and daily guided meditation practice (requiring 10-40 minutes meditation practice per day).
In parallel The Mindfulness Well-being Program offers research-based knowledge and a space to discuss key aspects of our well-being, what promotes or undermines it, and how mindfulness can improve our well-being. It therefore examines common issues including relationship problems, stress, anxiety, depression, sleep problems and pain.
The program is an 8 week dynamic, thought provoking, and practical, as it is geared to develop mindfulness skills as a key method for improving our well-being.
